Team 2 Murals

We had a great time this term, creating our 3 murals now on display outside Team 2's space. Each image is a representation of a different piece of the Glen Innes and Pt England area. Each child got to choose a picture that had significance to them, and represent that image though drawing and then painting on the board.

We had great experiences learning how to mix colours and we now understand what a background is!

We hope you enjoy our work!

Team 2's Hyperstudio Self-Portraits!

Everyone in Team 2 really enjoyed making their self-portrait in Hyperstudio this term. They thought about their culture and what is important to them, and included these details in their backgrounds.
Please watch the movie below to see everyone's contribution. We would love your comments!

Cookie Time!

Our entry to the Manaiakalani Film Festival this year is called 'Cookie Time'.

We didn't know what to make our movie about this year, and then we started to get some ideas...

Ms Gaston made us write a story in our Writing books about what we wanted to be in our movie this year and what might happen. Then we tried to put as many as we could of these stories together to make our movie. We hope you enjoy it!

Please leave your comments below.

Te Wa Toi - Art Time!

We had our Immersion Assembly for Term 4 on Monday and were very excited to present our movie for Te Wa Toi. We also had a painting challenge between Mrs Carter and Ms Gaston, to paint anything they wanted on a large blank piece of cardboard before the movie stopped playing.

Here is our movie and the paintings we produced.

Making Healthy Kai

As part of our Inquiry topic for term three, we have been learning about keeping our bodies fit and healthy. This means we need to think about what we put in our bodies, to keep them going.

Ms Gaston brought some sandwich ingredients to school and we had a go at making sandwiches!

We love our new Kiwisport lessons this term. We have been learning to control the ball by dribbling, passing and trapping our ball in Futsal.

Check out some photos of our skills!

Life Education with Harold and Lynn

We got to go and see Harold and Lynn in the Life Education van today!

We had heaps of fun seeing inside Kaleb's body and learning about how we need to choose the best kai to keep our bodies healthy and strong.

Immersion Assembly! Move Ya' Body!

This term Team 2 will be learning about how to keep our bodies fit and healthy! We will start by learning all about which food choices keep us the healthiest and then how to exercise our muscles to keep our bodies healthy and strong!

We've made a movie to show how Team 2 teachers look after themselves outside of school.

Our Trip to MOTAT!!

We had so much fun on our trip to MOTAT yesterday!

We had a class about Simple Machines and learned more about how pulleys, levers, wheels and axles, wedges, screws and inclined planes assist us in our daily lives.

We also had a ride on the tram and had turns wearing the conductor's hat!

We hope you enjoy our photos:
